Hi Kenya Team!

  I just wanted to take a quick moment to say hi and introduce myself. I apologize that it took me a few days to do so - I am not very technology-savvy, and this whole blog thing is very advanced for me (It's sad to admit, I know).  Actually, I hope I'm "posting" in the right section. But I am very excited and feel very privileged to join this team at the last minute. Let me tell you - it was a huge God-thing, as I wasn't even considering it until I heard about the need for another leader. Then, as I was praying about it, God confirmed this trip in numerous ways and worked out all the details. He is so good!

  I was a participant on this trip back in 2005, and always said that I would jump at the opportunity to return, whenever I felt God calling me. The trip was beautiful and hard and challenging and unforgettable and amazing, all in one. 

  So - bottom line - I am so grateful to be joining your Kenya 09 team as one of your leaders. I have already started praying for each one of you and our journey together. Which, speaking of "Journey", I think the 3 week devotional started yesterday. It's really a great preparation tool, and I encourage you to go through it purposefully. Can't wait to meet you!
