I do not have many specific expectations, other than I expect God to work in incredible ways. I have faith that God has great things in store for this trip. I  do not know how he is going to work on this trip, but I expect him to work in BIG ways! 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind can imagine what God has in prepared for those who love him”. I cannot even begin to imagine what God is preparing for my life, the lives of those living in Kenya, and my team mates lives.

Throughout this trip, I expect God to stretch me and take me out of my comfort zone so that I may grow closer to my Savior. I pray that above all else, God will break me! It often is in our brokenness that we recognize God’s mighty hand and power in our lives. I want my heart to break at the very things that break my Father’s heart, and my heart to find joy in that which brings joy to my Father. I pray that his abundance of love will be an overflow from my life into the lives of those I come in contact with in Kenya. I want to change the world one step at a time!

SO great to hear your thoughts! I, too, expect God to show up in great ways in Kenya. I’m your leader and I can not wait to get to know you. So…what are you hoping to be broken from in this time? Let me know so I can pray for you!
